Wilson leaving for Ozark School District, West Plains to search for new superintendent

The West Plains R-VII School District will be searching for a new superintendent for the upcoming school year. 

A release from the Ozark School District says the Board of Education voted to hire Dr. Lori WIlson as the Interim Assistant Superintendant of Business and Chief Financial Officer at the May 12 meeting. 

Wilson will rejoin Ozark School District on July 1. Beginning her administrative career in 2009 as Ozark High School assistant principal, Wilson went on to serve as the Nixa Junior High principal, Aurora Schools assistant superintendent, and has served as the West Plains School District superintendent since 2018.  

Wilson obtained a bachelor’s degree in business and accounting and a teaching certificate from College of the Ozarks, a master’s degree in business administration from Drury University, a master’s degree in secondary administration from William Woods University, a specialist’s degree in educational administration and a doctorate of education in educational leadership both from Southwest Baptist University. 

According to Lana Snodgrass, Communications Director of the West Plains R-VII School District, the search will begin soon for the next superintendent.
