
The Howell County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a man on burglary charges.
According to a release, on May 25, authorities received a call for service regarding a homeowner who had a suspect at gunpoint outside of his residence and was awaiting law enforcement to arrive on the scene.
Once deputies arrived on the scene, they observed a male subject on his hands and knees.
The homeowner identified the male subject as having forcibly entered his residence and remained in his home until being escorted outside at gunpoint.
Upon further investigation, property damage was documented where the subject forced his way in.
Jason Gargione was arrested and booked pending the filing of formal charges of first-degree burglary and first-degree property damage.
A probable cause statement has been forwarded to the Howell County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.
