Howell County authorities recover more stolen property related to active case

The Howell County Sheriff’s Office reports the recovery of stolen property. 

A release from the department shows on June 3, the Sheriff’s Office received information from the community regarding another stolen Can-Am Commander 1000 UTV from Douglas County. 

The UTV was stolen in connection to the case from June 1 involving Brad Davis, who was arrested after leading police on a chase through area counties.

Authorities located a suspect, and that suspect agreed to show authorities where the stolen UTV was. 

The suspect led law enforcement to the Cover Prairie Conservation Area, located on State Route F in Howell County. 

The stolen UTV was concealed behind a building in the conservation area. 

It was towed from the scene and will be released to the owner. 

According to the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office, that suspect is awaiting the filing of formal charges.
