
Ozark County Sheriff’s Office is accepting applications for a full-time School Resource Officer (SRO) for the Dora R-III School District for the 2022-2023 school year.
The SRO will be a full-time certified law enforcement officer and will obtain certification from the National Association of School Resource Officers (NASRO) or the Missouri Association of School Resource Officer (MASRO). The NASRO/MASRO certification will be in addition to the officer’s state peace officer certification.
The sheriff’s office and the Dora R-III School District are extremely excited about this opportunity.
This position will give the school, the sheriff’s office, and the community an opportunity like it has never had before.
The SRO will be 100% dedicated to the school during the school year and supplement patrol during times school is not in session.
This is an important position, and we want someone that will take on the position and build it into a successful program for the school, the sheriff’s office, and the community.
The candidate must be self-motivated, have excellent public speaking skills, and ready to work in a school environment.
Basic Qualification:
– Must be at least 21 years of age
– High School Diploma or GED
– Must be Missouri P.O.S.T. Certified
– No Felony Convictions
– No convictions for crimes of moral turpitude or domestic
violence
– Be able to work in a school environment
– Have highly principled ethics and moral character
– Have excellent communication skills and highly self-motivated
