Cherokee Village Police Department searching for Patrol Officer

The Cherokee Village Police Department is accepting applications for a full-time Patrol Officer. 

According to a social media post, the applicant must be 21 years of age, be a valid US Citizen, possess a high school diploma or equivalent, possess a valid driver’s license, and have no domestic abuse or felony convictions. 

Patrol Officers work 12-hour shifts performing duties such as general patrol, business checks, traffic enforcement, drug enforcement, criminal investigations, and citizen assistance. 

The pay rate is based on experience as a police officer. 

Benefits such as retirement and medical and dental insurance are included. 

Paid vacation and sick time are earned monthly from the time employment begins. 

A uniform and equipment allowance is provided after one year of employment. 

All officers receive holiday and overtime pay. 

Applications can be picked up at the Cherokee Village Police Department or Cherokee Village City Hall at #2 Santee Drive.
