Thayer City Council met last night for their regular monthly meeting. During the meeting, Mayor Ken Cotham swore in Sargent Ethan Dewitt
The Council also heard an update from Bob Eckman regarding Economic development. He talked first about chicken houses in the county
He said there are more that are looking at getting into the business and that could help generate a lot of money for the county.
He also updates the council on the incubator project at the industrial park.
The Council talked about looking into possible grants that would help the city build a city ballpark and possible splash pad. The City council approved paying two employees who helped during a recent power outage. They accepted a bid from Grills Cleaning and approved the 2022-23 budget. The City Council meets on the second Tuesday of each month at City Hall.
