Authorities in Sharp County are looking for a man after a chase Sunday morning. According to reports, 9-1-1 received a call around 11 a.m. that a woman was being held hostage at the Red mule in Highland. When officers arrive at the Red Mule the suspect fled in a Dark Gray Toyota 4-runner. The suspect has been identified as Joshua Hoover who is described as 6 foot 200 pounds with a shaved head and some facial hair. A picture of the suspect is available on our website. He has tattoos on his neck and arms and may be armed and considered dangerous. Anyone with any information as to his whereabouts is asked to contact the Sheriff’s Department.
