The murder trial of Rebecca Rudd continued Tuesday and the court heard testimony from Joseph Marsillo who assisted the sheriff’s department in the search for Savannah Leckie after she was reported missing. Marcello’s cadaver dog found the child’s remains on a burn pile on Rudd’s property. Rudd has told authorities that Leckie committed suicide inside the trailer where she was sleeping. But Marsillo said his dog did not detect any signs of human decomposition inside the trailer. Marsillo told the court that a human body emits a distinct sent within 30 minutes of dying. The trial continues today.
