A Mountain Home man faces charges after a domestic incident

A Mountain Home man has been arrested for allegedly assaulting a woman and pointing a gun at her. 30-year-old Justin Watkins allegedly struck a female, then loaded a gun and pointed it at the woman. The incident was allegedly observed by seven children in the home.  A check with the Arkansas Crime Information Center reportedly showed he was not allowed to have a firearm as a convicted felon. Watkins is facing one felony count each of aggravated assault, terroristic threatening, and possession of a firearm by a certain person and seven misdemeanor counts of endangering the welfare of a minor. Watkins is in the Baxter County Detention Center with a bond set at $25,575.
