The Baxter County Sheriff’s Office arrested a man early Thursday morning, on several traffic and misdemeanor charges. During a search of the man’s vehicle, a quantity of mail from many different addresses in the Jordan, Salesville, Norfork, and Mountain Home areas was found. This mail appears to have been stolen from residential mailboxes.
The Sheriff’s Office is working with the U. S. Postal Inspector’s Office to return these articles of mail to the proper recipient after the articles have been recorded into evidence, as well as to prepare criminal charges.
Anyone from those areas who were expecting to receive pieces of mail, particularly checks or payments, that should have been received by now but have not been delivered, or anyone having information about these thefts, is asked to contact Investigator Dwight Duch of the Sheriff’s Criminal Investigation Division, 870-425-700, or dduch@baxtercountysheriff.com
