A Gassville Arkansas man was arrested near Rolla Missouri. 49-year-old Uhlan Esel Woods was allegedly fleeing after a warrant was issued for his arrest on child porn charges involving a teenager. Woods allegedly fled Wednesday from his home and took a gun and his two grandchildren ages three and one. A deputy with the sheriff’s office made contact with Woods, trying to talk him into dropping the two toddlers off safely. Woods told law enforcement he was taking them to Iowa to another family member’s home. Woods is charged with engaging children in sexually explicit conduct for use in the visual or print medium, a class Y felony, the most serious crime in Arkansas not punishable by the death penalty. He is also charged with a felony count of distributing, possessing, or viewing matter depicting sexually explicit conduct involving a child. Once he is returned to Baxter County, Woods’ bond will be set at $75,000.
