There is a field on fire on highway 19 between Thayer and Alton at the Ledgerwood Straights. The Oregon County Sheriff’s Department tells ECNN that visibility is almost zero. Please find an alternate route while crews battle this fire. Remember a burn ban is in effect until further notice because of the extremely dry and hot conditions. Please no outdoor burning until we get some significant rainfall.
