A Mountain Home man was killed and another man was injured in a boating accident Friday night on Norfork Lake. According to reports 73-year-old Max Atkinson was killed and Steve Curtis was injured when their boat collided with the U.S. Highway 62/412 bridge. Curtis was flown from the scene to a Missouri Hospital. The two men were reportedly taking part in the Buddy Bass O-Thon tournament series. The Arkansas Game and Fish will be doing the accident investigation.
