The Missouri State Highway Patrol is investigating an officer-involved shooting in Salem Missouri. The MSHP reports the shooting happened this past Saturday on east 1st Street. A man allegedly pointed a gun at his wife’s head. The woman escaped and called the police. When police arrived the man allegedly pointed the gun at an officer and the officer shot the man. The wound was non-life threatening. Authorities say the man was drunk at the time of the incident. The investigation continues.
