A pair of West Plains residents have been arrested in Douglas County

Monday, Deputy Aaron Box responded to County Road 303 of AF highway for a report of a suspicious vehicle parked in the roadway, where a man and woman were acting suspiciously.

Deputy Box made contact and identified the male as 37-year-old Joshua David George from West Plains and the female as 37-year-old Amanda Renee Wallace from West Plains. The duo stated that their car was overheating. Deputy Box became suspicious when Wallace indicated they were traveling from Marshfield to West Plains, as CR 303 is nowhere near the route they should have been traveling.

Consent to search was obtained resulting in Deputy Box locating methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.

Joshua George was currently on Probation for possession of a controlled substance.

Both subjects were arrested and transported to the Douglas County Jail and placed on a 24-hour hold.

Warrants were issued for both Wallace and George for Possession of a Controlled substance-methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Wallace’s bond was set at $1500 cash with CPS bond supervision, twice weekly drug testing, no illegal drugs including marijuana, and not to be in Douglas County except for drug testing, attorney visits, and court.

George’s bond was set at $15,000 cash only, twice weekly drug testing, no illegal drugs including marijuana, and not to be in Douglas County except for drug testing, attorney visits, and court.
