Two Ava men were arrested after a traffic stop Monday

Two Ava men were arrested after a traffic stop Monday in Douglas County. The Douglas County Sheriff’s Department reports that 20-year-old Dylan Rogers and 20-year-old Reuben Albritton were both arrested after deputies saw them throw items from the car as they were being stopped.

The items that were thrown into the brush were located and determined to be two loaded Firearms. Suspected methamphetamine was also located. Dylan Rogers and Rueben Albritton were both currently on Felony Probation for Possession of a Controlled Substance.

Dylan Rogers was issued a warrant, and charged with: Possession of Controlled Substance Except for 35 Grams or Less a class D Felony; Unlawful Use of a Weapon by Possession a class E Felony; Tampering with Physical Evidence in Felony Prosecution a class E Felony. Bond was set a $5,000 Cash Only with bond conditions of CPS Supervision with twice a week testing. No illegal substances. No firearms. 7 pm-7 is curfew. No association with convicted felons.

Rueben Albritton was issued a warrant and charged with the following: Possession of Controlled Substance Except for 35 Grams or Less a class D Felony; Unlawful Use of a Weapon by Possession a class E Felony.
