A Doniphan woman was injured and another woman was arrested following a two-vehicle accident Tuesday afternoon south of Doniphan. The MSHP reports that 84-year-old Carroll Griffith suffered minor injuries when a vehicle driven by 61-year-old Linda Wheeler hit the rear of a vehicle driven by 69-year-old Robert Griffith. Wheeler was charged with felony possession of a controlled substance, Hydrocodone, Felony possession of a controlled substance, Xanax, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was taken to Ripley County Jail and placed on a 24-hour hold. The accident happened on Route E, three miles south of Doniphan.
