A woman from Birch Tree was killed when she was hit by a truck towing a trailer. 83-year-old Mary Lakey was hit and killed when she was struck by the pickup Saturday morning on county road 670 in Birch Tree. The driver of the pickup, 84-year-old Norvil Lakey was not injured. THE accident happened around 10 Saturday morning.
