A man accused of firebombing the Sheriff’s house and shooting at deputies has now been charged

A man who allegedly firebombed the Randolph County Sheriff’s house has now been charged. 41-year-old Bryan Keith Rogers of Biggers is charged with three counts of attempted capitol murder, one count of arson, one count of fleeing in a vehicle causing danger, and five counts of aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer. In July Rogers allegedly went to Sheriff Kevin Bell’s house and attempted to firebomb it while Bell and his family were asleep. The Sheriff heard the explosion and saw the house was on fire. Rogers fled the scene and after a brief chase opened fire on deputies. Roger was arrested after a deputy performed a pit maneuver, Rogers got out of the vehicle and shot at deputies again, when deputies returned fire he surrendered.
