Troop G reports 8 accidents over the weekend

Troop G Trooper was busy with several accidents over the weekend, including five on Saturday and 3 on Sunday.

Around 4:50 Saturday morning, 20-year-old Logan Sprouse of Licking suffered minor injuries when he hit a deer and ran off the road, and struck a tree. The accident happened on Highway N, six miles northwest of Licking.

At 12:15 pm, 44-year-old Rebecca Smotherman of Mountain View suffered minor injuries when the vehicle she was in, driven by 41-year-old Justin Smotherman attempted to avoid a vehicle that had pulled onto the road on a blind curve and hit the vehicle. Smotherman was taken to Mercy St Francis Hospital in Mountain View. The accident happened on rt T, one mile south of Teresita.

At 2:12 Saturday afternoon, 24-year-old Allison Burris of West Plains suffered minor injuries when the vehicle she was driving lost a wheel, ran off the road, and overturned. She was taken to Ozarks Healthcare. The accident happened on Missouri 14, three miles west of West Plains.

Saturday at 3 pm, 25-year-old Nikole Dale of Hartville suffered moderate injuries when her vehicle began skidding, ran off the road, and hit a ditch. The accident happened on Highway 95, a half mile south of Manes. Dale was taken to Mercy Hospital in Lebanon.

Three people were injured in an accident Saturday afternoon around 4 pm. 64-year-old Tammy Graham and a 17-year-old boy from Cabool and a 14-year-old boy from Mountain Grove all suffered minor injuries when the 17-year-old turned into the path of the vehicle that Graham was driving. The juvenile was taken to Ozarks Healthcare in West Plains, Graham was taken to Texas County Memorial Hospital. The accident happened on Bado Road, one mile north of Cabool.

Sunday morning around 7:30, 21-year-old Tyler Clifton from Clinton Missouri was injured when he drove off the road and overturned the vehicle he was driving. The accident happened on 60/63, four miles west of Willow Springs. Clifton’s injuries were minor.

Then around noon, two people were injured in an accident in Bakersfield. 76-year-old Aubrey Easley and 73-year-old Mary Easley, from Bakersfield, both suffered minor injuries when they hit the rear of a vehicle driven by 19-year-old Dalton Decker of Harrison Arkansas.  Both the Easleys was taken to Ozarks Healthcare in West Plains. The accident happened on Highway 101 in Bakersfield.

Sunday night around 7:40, two people were injured in an accident east of Mountain Grove. The Highway Patrol reports that 18-year-old Gracelynn Richardson of Mountain Grove suffered moderate injuries and 32-year-old Megan Tinsley of Norwood suffered minor injuries when Tinsley, who Troopers say was driving at a slow rate of speed was hit in the rear by a vehicle driven by Richardson.  Richardson was taken to Texas County Memorial Hospital. The accident happened on Business 60, three miles east of Mountain Grove. Tinsley was charged with DWI and no insurance.
