A man from Thayer suffered serious injuries in a motorcycle accident Monday morning in Texas County. The Highway Patrol reports that 68-year-old Joel Kelley was injured when he hit a deer and lost control of the motorcycle and overturned. He was taken to Texas County Memorial Hospital. The accident happened on U.S. 63 about two miles north of Houston.
