A woman from Lesterville was injured in a motorcycle accident in Shannon County Sunday afternoon. 71-year-old Ruth Dierkes suffered serious injuries when she failed to negotiate a curve, ran off the road, and overturned the motorcycle. Dierkes was flown to Mercy Hospital in Springfield. The accident happened on Highway 106, ten miles west of Ellington.
