Two people were killed in a two-vehicle accident Friday afternoon in Texas County. The Highway Patrol reports that 30-year-old Hayden Mercer of Searcy Arkansas and 55-year-old Richard Strom of Licking were both killed when Mercer attempted to pass another vehicle and hit the vehicle Strom was driving head-on. The accident happened on highway VV, four miles south of Licking.
