
Two people were injured in an accident in Shannon County Friday morning. The Highway Patrol reports that 28-year-old Dalton Smotherman of Mountain View suffered moderate injuries and 27-year-old Collin Alford of Birth Tree suffered minor injuries when Alford pulled into the path of the vehicle that Smotherman was driving. Smotherman was taken to Cox South in Springfield and Alford was taken to Ozarks Healthcare in West Plains. The accident happened on U.S. 60, three miles east of Mountain View.
A woman from Ava was injured when she was hit by a vehicle while she was checking her mail. 70-year-old Lesa Berger was checking her mail when the mirror of a vehicle driven by 34-year-old Joshua Coffer of Ava hit her. Berger was taken to Cox South in Springfield with moderate injuries. The accident happened on highway 76, eight miles west of Ava.
A 16-year-old girl from Huggins was injured in an accident in Texas County Friday morning. The Highway Patrol reports that the girl was hurt when she was distracted by shifting and drove off the road and hit a tree. The accident happened on Highway AM, one mile west of Plato. The girl was taken to a Hospital in Lebanon.
