
A Marion County man has been arrested after allegedly fleeing the scene of an accident. 38-year-old Michael Paxton allegedly fled the scene of an accident in front of Dollar General in Yellville. Paxton was stopped by police and K-9 Rico alerted to narcotics in the passenger door. A search of the vehicle found suspected marijuana and a glass smoking pipe as well as a cloth cigarette pack holder containing a glass smoking pipe and a white crystal residue, a plastic bag with crystal residue, and a small bag containing two dosage units of suspected LSD. Paxton is charged with felony possession of a schedule 1 substance and two counts of felony possession of drug paraphernalia and misdemeanor leaving the scene of an accident, careless and prohibited driving, driving on a suspended license, and no insurance. Paxton was released on a $5,000 bond.
