The Howell County Sherriff’s Department is reporting the recovery of a stolen vehicle. On September 28, Deputy Devon Mendenhall was notified of agency assistance for West Plains Police Department. West Plains Police Department requested Deputies attempt to locate a stolen truck and the suspect at a business on County Road 4730. The vehicle was not located nor was contact made with the suspect on County Road 4730. Howell County Sheriff’s Office received a call for an abandoned suspicious vehicle on County Road 5130 matching the description of the stolen vehicle. Deputy Mendenhall traveled to the area and located the vehicle. It was confirmed to be the stolen vehicle out of West Plains. The vehicle was processed for items of evidentiary value and returned to the victim.
