Congratulations to Viola’s A.J. McCandlis, who finished 8th in the Arkansas Overall State Championship Golf Tournament held Thursday at Pleasant Valley Country Club in Little Rock. McCandlis shot an 87. McCandlis won the State 1A tournament earlier in the month and led the Lady Longhorns to the State Championship. She is a three-time All-Stater and finished as a runner-up in 2020 and 2021.
