Five people were injured in an accident south of West Plains early this morning. The Highway Patrol reports that 40-year-old Kevin Jones of Trumann Ar. Suffered serious injuries, 33-year-old Ashley Jones of Jonesboro and 32-year-old Fierra Jones of Trumann both suffered moderate injuries, and two children aged 10 and 6 both from Jonesboro suffered minor injuries in the accident. The Highway Patrol says that Kevin Jones drove off the road and hit a ditch, became airborne, and overturned the vehicle he was driving. Kevin Jones was flown to Cox South in Springfield and the rest of the injured were taken to Ozarks Healthcare in West Plains. The accident happened around 12:10 this morning on U.S. 63, three miles south of West Plains.
