Sixteenth Judicial Prosecutor Eric Hance has announced a plea agreement will be entered today in the murder of Rebekah Gould. William Alma Miller was charged on November 8, 2020, in the 2004 death of Gould and was scheduled for a jury trial on October 31. Hance said defense attorneys offered to withdraw a trial by jury and the victim’s family was in agreement. Miller’s confession was part of a three-day hearing in September that would have been allowed into evidence during the trial.
The plea will be held before Circuit Judge Tim Weaver.
