73-year-old Louis Breeding of Elizabeth was pronounced dead at the scene. Another person was treated for smoke inhalation. Viola Firefighters and Byron Firefighters both responded to the fire but the home was fully engulfed in flames when they arrived. The cause of the fire is still unknown.
