A woman from Walnut Ridge was injured in an accident in West Memphis that claimed the life of a man from West Memphis. The Arkansas State Police say that 40-year-old Jennifer Staples of Walnut Ridge was injured when a car driven by 35-year-old Jeremy Nelson of West Memphis failed to yield a vehicle that was merging onto the interstate and hit the front of the vehicle. The Arkansas State Police report said that Staples was a passenger in one of the vehicles but did not say which one. She was taken to Regional One Medical Center. The accident happened on the north service road at interstate 55 on-ramp in West Memphis.
