37-year-old Christopher Hallowell was arrested after officers were called to a home for a report of a physical altercation. Hallowell allegedly rips a neckless off a woman and bags out of her hands. He then swung a golf club at her missing and hitting the floor. Officers observed scrapes, abrasions, and bruising on the victim’s forearm. Hallowell refused to submit to arrest and to comply with lawful orders. He was taken into custody without injury. Hallowell is charged with third-degree domestic battering and a misdemeanor count of refusal to submit to arrest. He is being held in the Izard County Detention Center on $10,000 bond.
