Five people have been indicted by a federal grand jury on charges of child abuse and endangering the welfare of a child in Howell County. Barbara Baker, Cheryl Silva, Karen Gore, Teresia Huddleston, and Barbara Stark were all indicted. A sixth person, Vernetta Burgess was not part of the indicted but is expected to be charged. They will be in court on November 18th in Howell County.
The six were charged following an investigation where Video evidence, showed the individuals abusing an autistic boy several times while employed by the Ozark Horizon State School in West Plains.
