St. LOUIS, Mo. – It wasn’t the five Gold Gloves that the Cardinals brought home after the 2021 season, but St. Louis still had a productive day of hardware as Rawlings announced the 2022 awards on Tuesday.
Cardinals third baseman Nolan Arenado and utility man Brendan Donovan took home Gold Gloves this year, Rawlings revealed Tuesday. For Arenado, the win marked his 10th consecutive career Gold Glove Award. The 31-year-old has taken home hardware in each of his big-league seasons since his MLB debut in 2013.
The rookie Donovan beat out teammate Tommy Edman to become the first National League player to win the award as a utility player.
