
A man from Alton suffered serious injuries in an accident Wednesday morning west of Alton. The Highway Patrol reports that 59-year-old Michael Turner was injured when he drove off the road and overturned the car he was driving, hitting a tree. Turner was ejected from the car. He was flown to Mercy Hospital in Springfield. The accident happened around 4 Wednesday morning on Highway P, three miles west of Alton.
A man from Bourbon Missouri was injured in an accident in Wright County Wednesday afternoon. The Highway Patrol says that 40-year-old Brandon Rhoades suffered moderate injuries when he failed to stop at a stop sign and was hit by a pickup driven by 54-year-old Charles Crain of Mountain Grove. The accident happened at the intersection of Highways 95 and 38, thirteen miles north of Mountain Grove
Two Oregon County residents were injured in an accident east of Thayer Wednesday evening. The Highway Patrol reports that 63-year-old Cathy Washington of Myrtle and 75-year-old Nora Carder of Thayer both suffered minor injuries when a car driven by 66-year-old Perry Carder hit the rear of the vehicle that Washington was driving. The accident happened on Highway 142, three miles east of Thayer.
Two people were injured in an accident north of West Plains Wednesday afternoon. 49-year-old Hompu Pornthip of West Plains and 44-year-old Ryan Trujilo of Blue Eye both suffered minor injuries when Trujilo failed to yield and was hit by the vehicle driven by Pornthip. The accident happened on county road 1280, one mile north of West Plains.
A man from Mansfield was injured in a motorcycle accident Wednesday night in Wright County. The Highway Patrol reports that 46-year-old Jimmy Nichols was injured when he hit a deer. Nichols was also charged with Driving While Intoxicated. The accident happened on Highway V, five miles west of Highway 5.
