Today is Veteran’s Day, and several area schools and organizations have planned celebrations for today. Government offices are closed today. Veteran’s Day also known as Armistice Day, was first recognized as a legal holiday in 1938. The day is designed to honor our veterans and U.S. Armed Forces. Be sure and thank a veteran for their service.
