Authorities in Baxter County say one person has died in a fire at several buildings in Gassville over the weekend. Just before 8 Sunday night, firefighters were called to fire at a residence that had spread to businesses in a storefront. A body found in the fire was transported to the State Medical Examiner’s office to determine the cause of death. The name of the victim is not being released at this time. The fire burned multiple buildings and there were 10 area fire departments that responded to help fight the fire. The cause of the fire has not been determined.
