Authorities are investigating a plane crash that happened just a few feet away from Highway 167 in Batesville. According to reports, the small jet crashed when it ran off the runway at Batesville Airport. Reports are that the nose of the plane was 10-15 feet from the highway with the airport fence wrapped around it. The crash happened Tuesday night and at this time there are not many details and no word of any injuries. The plane allegedly left Waterloo Airport in Iowa at 5:57 pm and was scheduled to land at Batesville at 7:10 pm. It was then scheduled to leave Batesville at 8:30. The accident will be investigated by the FAA.
