Michael Mansfield was arrested after a short chase on county road 8800. Mansfield fled from police and crashed into a farm gate then fled on foot. He was captured a short time later. Deputies recovered stolen property and Mansfield was charged with unlawful possession of a firearm, stealing a firearm, and resisting arrest. He was taken to Howell County jail.
