Two Ellington residents suffered serious injuries in an accident Saturday north of Ellington. The Highway Patrol reports that 27-year-old Austin Hill and 20-year-old Shyanne Nash were both injured when Nash drove off the road and hit an embankment. Hill was flown to a St Louis Hospital and Nash was taken to Iron County Regional Hospital.
A Grandin teen was injured in an accident in Carter County on Christmas day. 18-year-old Emma Whittom suffered moderate injuries when she slid off the road and struck a culvert. Whittom was taken to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center. The accident happened on Highway O, a mile and a half south of Grandin.
A woman from Grovespring was injured in an accident east of Grovespring on Saturday. 23-year-old Cierra Burt suffered moderate injuries when a pickup became stuck in the roadway and was hit by the pickup Burt was a passenger in. Burt was taken to Lebanon Hospital. The accident happened on Highway H, five miles east of Grovespring.
