23-year-old McKenzie Smith was in court last week on charges of 11 counts of forgery and one count of stealing $25,000 or more. She now faces additional charges of 56 counts of forgery and one count of stealing $750 or more and fraudulent use of a credit/debit device. She will be back in court on January 18th. The total 67 felony forgery charges come from 35 duplicated payroll checks and 32 forged payroll checks that Smith had made out to herself. The amount discovered stolen totaled at $51,612.42.
