The chase began when Highland police attempted to stop a vehicle to get them to turn on its lights. The car sped away through Hardy, and Sharp County, then through Lawrence and Jackson Counties before eventually being stopped in Jonesboro. Two people were arrested and a third suspect is still being sought. The vehicle they were in was reported stolen. No names have been released.
