
The Humane Society of Missouri and the Ozark County Sheriff’s Department removed 29 dogs from a breeder in Ozark County last week. The dogs were taken from Lakeland Terriers According to the HSMO, the individual was a former licensed breeder who was continuing to breed without proper permissions and required licenses. All recovered dogs were mostly adult-aged, with five younger than seven months old. Several of the dogs suffered injuries including one dog losing an entire ear. HSMO expects to make them available for adoption after they have been rehabilitated.
