A man from West Plains was scammed out of thousands of dollars by an online Puppy scam. David Haworth says that he lost $3,108 to Royal City Paw. The company is based in North Carolina and Haworth found them on a google search. He contacted the business through text and emails. Authorities say they believe the people at the business are out of the Country. Haworth reported the scam to his bank hoping to get his money back but he got a letter from Bank of America telling him the payment he made through Zelle could not be reversed.
