On Tuesday, Arkansas Governor Sarah Sanders declared a state of Emergency because of the extreme conditions caused by the recent winter weather. The executive order directs $250,000 to the disaster response and recovery fund to be used by the emergency management. Governor Sanders also activated the Arkansas National Guard to help the State Police with the stranded motorists.
