31-year-old Cody Thomas Weathers was charged with killing 29-year-old Adam Lowery and Lowery’s dog. Weathers pleaded guilty to the charges. He was taken to the Independence County jail and then transferred to the Arkansas Department of Corrections. The murder happened at a residence on Rounds Road east of Batesville.
