The Douglas County Sheriff’s Department is reporting three arrests

Jeffery Brooke was arrested on an outstanding felony warrant and during his arrested deputies found a bag of illegal narcotics, meth, drug paraphernalia, and narcotic distribution equipment.  On Tuesday; a Douglas County warrant was issued for Mr. Brooke regarding the illegal items found in the bag.  Charges include:

-Possession of Controlled Substance-methamphetamine

–Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia Amphetamine or Methamphetamine

-Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

The bond is set at $5000 cash with bond conditions. Mr. Brooke remains in custody on the Failure to Appear-Non Support warrant that he was initially arrested on and the warrant issued on February 14th, 2023.

 

The Sheriff’s Department also reports the arrest of 34-year-old Jeremy Weaver of Ava on charges of Domestic Assault 1st Degree

-Endangering the Welfare of a Child Creating Substantial Risk 1st degree -1st offense-No Sexual Conduct x 2 counts

-Sexual Misconduct involving a Child Under 15-1st offense x 2 counts

-Terrorist Threat 1st Degree

A Douglas County Warrant was issued. Bond is set at $50,000-00 cash only with several bond conditions and Mr. Weaver remains in custody at Douglas County.

The Douglas County Sheriff’s Department also arrested 32-year-old Jackie Matney of Ava on charges of

-Burglary 2nd Degree
-Stealing $750 or more
A Douglas County Warrant was issued and the bond is set at $1500 cash. He remains in custody at Douglas County.
