The Douglas County Sheriff’s Department reports the arrest of a man from Florida and a woman from New Mexico over the weekend. 42-year-old Stacey Dewitt from Albuquerque New Mexico was arrested after deputies found numerous items of drug paraphernalia, a firearm, and 6 grams of meth. A passenger in the vehicle, 42-year-old Joseph McCormick of Fort Walton Florida was also arrested.
Warrants were issued for Stacey Dewitt for 2 counts of possession of a controlled substance, Unlawful use of a weapon, Unlawful possession of a firearm DWI, Operating a motor vehicle without a valid license, Operate a motor vehicle without financial responsibility. The bond was set at $5000.
Warrants were issued for Joseph McCormick for 2 counts of possession of a controlled substance, Unlawful use of a weapon, and Unlawful possession of a firearm. . Bond was set at $5000 with a bond.
