Authorities say that 72-year-old John Mauretto of Dardenne Prairie Missouri drowned, and 71-year-old David Guckes of Labadie Missouri was rescued by a nearby fisherman.
Arkansas Game and Fish, report the incident occurred around 12:30 Thursday afternoon. Mauretto and Guckes were reportedly fishing in the Ranchette area when their outboard ran out of fuel. While attempting to restart their motor, the vessel collided with a boat dock.
