The Howell County Sheriff’s Department is asking for the public’s help in finding the person or persons responsible for illegal tire dumping in the county. They say that between March 1, 2023, and March 14, 2023, several dozen tires were discarded on the roadside in the Junction Hill area of Howell County, Missouri. These tires were scattered from the intersection of East US 160 and North Hwy 17 and up Hwy 17 to the intersection of State Route W and down State Route W. MoDot crews were mobilized and tasked with the recovery of the significant number of discarded tires. This incident is being investigated by the Missouri State Highway Patrol – Troop G. The Howell County Sheriff’s Office is engaging our public for assistance in this investigation.
